What this section covers
The articles published here come from the engineers, consultants and service desk team at Axia. We write specifically for the people we work with every week — business owners reviewing their IT setup, office managers handed a new system to look after, and IT leads comparing platforms or considering a change of provider. Our aim is to share what we have learned over thirty years of running IT for SMEs in and around Watford, in language a non-technical reader can follow.
Topics we publish on
- Microsoft 365 and Copilot — tenant setup, MFA and conditional access rollouts, licensing decisions, SharePoint and Teams hygiene, and practical guidance for adopting Microsoft’s AI productivity tools.
- Cyber security and Cyber Essentials — threat landscape updates, ransomware lessons learned from real incidents, and walkthroughs of the controls small businesses can put in place in a single working week.
- Cloud platforms — Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Workspace migrations, hybrid set-ups, cost optimisation and avoiding the licensing traps that come up most often.
- Hybrid and remote working — device management, secure remote access, and supporting a team that is split between office, home and the road.
- Choosing and switching MSPs — what good onboarding looks like, what to ask a prospective provider in the first call, and how to migrate cleanly when you decide to move.
- Company and team news — new starters, certifications, accreditations, awards and the occasional announcement about Axia itself.
How to find what you need
Every article is tagged with one or more categories and keywords, which you will see underneath the post listing. The category chips below the hero let you browse everything we have written on a specific subject — for example every Microsoft 365 article, every cyber security article, and so on — and the tag chips are useful for narrower searches (specific products, sectors, or compliance frameworks).
If you have a topic you would like us to cover, send a short note to marketing@axia.co.uk. Reader requests drive a significant share of what we publish, and articles suggested by a customer or prospect generally get written within the same quarter.
